An exciting new partnership with the Wessex Heartbeat charity is just beginning!

We are delighted to announce that we have formed an exciting new partnership with the Wessex Heartbeat charity. Wessex Heartbeat help thousands of families every year whose loved ones are undergoing complex cardiac surgery at Southampton General hospital.

This is a cause which is very close to our hearts (excuse the pun!). In 2016, Lucy stayed at the Heartbeat House in Southampton, whilst her Mum was in hospital having surgery. The Heartbeat House is provided free of charge to the families of cardiac patients, so that they can visit their loved ones without having to worry about how they are going to fund their accommodation.

Whilst she stayed in the Heartbeat House, Lucy was able to visit her Mum night and day over the course of her surgery and subsequent convalesence in hospital. For the families, having access to the Heartbeat House means that they can be on hand to provide support and comfort to their loved ones. It is an invaluable resource and we would like to help ensure that other families can benefit from it too.

We are immensely proud to be helping them raise funds to maintain the Heartbeat House, as well as for the purchase of a new 3-D printing facility – the first of its kind in the UK. To find out more about our fundraising project please check out our Virgin Money Giving page.
